Is there a dress code at Qasr al Watan?

To ensure a respectful and comfortable experience for all guests, kindly follow these guidelines:

  • Wear clothes that cover both your knees and shoulders. Shorts, sleeveless tops, and see-through garments are not allowed.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. Flip-flops and overly casual footwear are not allowed.
  • Be mindful of local traditions. Dress in a respectful and appropriate manner while visiting.

Where can I park my car?

There are ample parking spaces available and there is no charge to park here.

Is there valet parking?

Yes, valet parking is available at the Visitor Centre car park at a price of AED 35.

Does Qasr Al Watan provide transportation services?

No, visitors must find their own transport to/from Qasr Al Watan.

How can I purchase a ticket?

Tickets can be purchased online. Please see the Tickets section of the website for more information.

How do I receive my tickets when I buy online?

You will receive your ticket(s) via email. You can print these out and bring them with you or you can download the ticket(s) onto your phone. You will need to show this to gain entry into the Palace or its grounds.

Is there an entry fee?

Yes, there is an entry fee. Please see the Tickets section of the website for more information.

Are refunds possible for the entry fee?

No, there are no refunds on any and all entry tickets.

If I leave the grounds, can I return without paying again?

No, once you exit the premises you will not be able to enter again.

Does Qasr Al Watan have guided tours?

In line with Abu Dhabi Government guidelines, guided tours are now available for purchase at-gate.

Do I have to take a guided tour?

No, but to enhance your experience of Qasr Al Watan, a guided tour is recommended.

Are there any facilities for people of determination & the elderly?

Qasr Al Watan provides wheelchairs for people of determination and elderly visitors.

  • People of determination guests who are registered in the UAE receive complimentary access plus one companion.
  • People of determination guests who are registered in the UAE without companion receive complimentary access.
  • International people of determination guests with obvious signs of disability (to be determined by the colleague's judgment) receive complimentary access but companion don't receive complimentary access.

Are there prayer facilities at the site?

Prayer Rooms in both Visitor Center and Zayed gate are open for guests during the operational hours.

Is internet access available for visitors?

There is no Wi-Fi available throughout the Palace grounds.

Is photography allowed in Qasr Al Watan?

Yes, non-commercial photography and filming are encouraged. Please see the Visitor Information section of the website for more information.

Are mobile phones allowed?

Yes, in consideration for other visitors, mobile phones must be switched to silent.

Can I purchase food and drink during my visit?

Yes, food and beverages are available for purchase from Diyafa, which is located at the Palace exit and at the Visitors center's exit. Please be aware that food and drink can only be consumed in restaurant areas of the palace and in the gardens. Consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the great hall or exhibition rooms.

Is smoking allowed?

Yes, a designated smoking area is located outside the Visitor Centre.

Can I bring a pet?

No, pets or animals are not allowed in the Palace or the Palace grounds.

The opening hours for the Contact Centre are 8:00am to 8:00pm, 7 days a week.

TICKETS & TOURS

Ticket Information

Tickets can be purchased online, or on site directly at the ticketing booth. Book online to avoid queues.

Tickets are dated and can only be used on the date printed on the ticket.

Qasr Al Watan Ticket

This general admission ticket gives you access to:

  • The Qasr Al Watan Tour
  • The Gardens
  • Visitor Centre
  • All zones, exhibitions and public spaces within the Palace and Gardens

Photography Services

We offer a photography service where guests can dress up in traditional Emirati clothing:

  • For women: Abayah, jalabiya, burqa, Arabic jewellery
  • For men: Kandoora and bischt

Photo package options:

  • Inside Palace: AED 250 (photos taken around the palace)
  • Outside Palace: AED 350 (photos taken in palace gardens and exteriors)

Fazaa and Homat Al Watan Discount

What is the Fazaa and Homat Al Watan discount?

The Fazaa and Homat Al Watan discount offers members of these programs a special discount on tickets when purchased at the gate.

Who is eligible for the discount?

The discount is available exclusively to members of Fazaa and Homat Al Watan.

How can I avail myself of the discount?

To receive the discount, you can:

  • Purchase your tickets online or at the gate.
  • For online purchases, obtain the promo code for both Fazaa and Homat Al Watan discounts via the app.
  • To avail the discount at the gate, the cardholder must provide their EID along with the discount card or the online app.

What tickets are eligible for the discount?

The discount applies to all standard tickets unless otherwise specified.

The discount is eligible for up to 4 tickets maximum — the cardholder and 3 additional guests.

Can someone else use my membership card to get the discount?

No, the discount is non-transferable and can only be used by the Fazaa or Homat Al Watan member listed on the card or membership proof.

How much is the discount?

The exact percentage or amount of the discount may vary. Please check the app to confirm the applicable discount.

Can I combine this discount with other offers?

No, the Fazaa and Homat Al Watan discount cannot be combined with any other promotions, offers, or discounts.

What should I do if my membership card is not accepted?

If there are any issues with your membership proof, please contact the Fazaa or Homat Al Watan customer service for assistance or clarification.

Is the discount available year-round?

Yes, the discount is available year-round, but terms and conditions may be subject to change.
